A Message from the WLD

An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.  But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people.  Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.”  Luke 2:10-11

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

Can you just imagine what it must have been like that day?  Everyday people going about the ordinary business of every day living and suddenly, an angel appears, revealing a glimpse of heaven by reflecting the glory of the Lord.  Joy truly came to reign on earth the day that “love came down” to dwell with us.  Let’s face it – the shepherds who witnessed the angel were forever changed.  We pray that each pilgrim on E132 will also receive that extra measure of life-changing Joy ‘N Jesus through the presence and ministry of the Holy Spirit on the mountain.

Joy ‘N Jesus abounds on the team of E132!  God has assembled a team of faithful and committed angels, anxious to serve Christ through service to the pilgrims of E132 on the mountain. As a team, we are both humbled and excited to begin the journey.  We covet your continued prayers as we complete the teaming process and prepare for the mountain.  We continue to pray for each pilgrim, trusting that God will prepare each heart to receive just a little more of His joy for the journey of Christian living and service.  Great and joyful things happen when God mixes with us!

  * Day of Deeper Understanding

Our E132 DDU will be held at 8:30AM, Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Springfield UMC. This will be a wonderful reunion, and a chance to learn a bit more about this amazing organization. Come hear about the history of the Walk to Emmaus, how the weekends are prepared, and how you can help with this blessed ministry opportunity.

Remember, you must attend a DDU before sponsoring friends or joining a Team.

Christ is Counting on You ~ See you there!!!
