A Message from the "R"
I am so excited to see what God has in store for His weekend on November 14-17 at Camp Happy Land. I am humbled that the community has selected me to lead the men and I promise to do the best I can with God's help.
The Passage: Job 19:25-26 25 I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth. 26 And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God;
Job has endured so much at this point, his friends have deserted him, he has lost everything and I relate this to all the different challenges that each and every one of us goes through in our lives. The person that we walk next to each day, drive with or by each day, the person who we see at church, the person who is looking down when we walk by them -- that is US. We all have our own crosses to bear. Yet in this passage is Hope, there is Hope that no matter what we endure, no matter what goes on in this life - that our God is true - our God is real and we will see God in the end. That thought to me is so refreshing!
God has assembled an awesome and mighty team to serve him on E-191 and we are so excited to meet the pilgrims and each other as we begin. We are praying for God's pilgrims - your friends, your family - the people that you care for that will walk on E-191. We ask that you pray too.
To God be the glory,
Jon Guest - God's servant on E-191

Our E191 DDU will be held at 8:30AM, Saturday, December 7 at St. Paul UMC (1400 G street, Woodbridge, Va. 22191). This will be a wonderful reunion, and a chance to learn a bit more about this amazing organization. Come hear about the history of the Emmaus NCA, how the weekends are planned, and how you can help with this blessed ministry opportunity.
Remember, you must attend a DDU before sponsoring friends or joining a Team.
