E-201 Rector Message

IIn 2014 I nervously got in my sponsors car and headed up to the mountain for my Emmaus walk on E-170. I remember coming off the mountain with visions of teaming dancing in my head! My walk transformed my relationship with Jesus in a way I knew I wanted to pass on. I have been blessed to be able to team on some fantastic weekends over the last 10 years. Being selected as an R fills my heart with such joy and I look forward to bringing that joy onto the mountain.

The theme I have chosen for E-201 is Unfailing Love. Our verse is Psalm 90:14 Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. This verse has been a staple for me as long as I can remember. It is a reminder that each day when I wake up to the gift of HIS unfailing love, I am blessed with a joy that no worldly circumstance can take away.

Our logo is a rooster for so many reasons! As long as I can remember, I have been surrounded by roosters…not the real ones…as much as I wish!! My grandmother collected roosters, my mom collected roosters and now I do! They unashamedly start each day crowing at sunrise as if they are shouting to the Lord, “Thank You for another Day!” and they are doing it loud enough for the world to hear!

The song I selected is Nobody Loves Me Like You by Chris Tomlin. I have had many highs and lows in my life and if it where not for God’s unfailing love I could have had a very different story. He shows us every day that nobody loves us like HE loves us.

I have a prayerfully selected team behind me that show me each week we meet they are here to be the hands and feet of Christ! I can’t wait to see what God has planned for E-201 on the mountain! Please keep us in prayer as we prepare, and pray for the pilgrims that God has already chosen to be up there!
